Keep Halloween Fun and Safe!!
-
Children should not eat ANY candy or halloween treat until an adult has examined it.
-
Walk - Don't Run! Use the sidewalk if possible to avoid clotheslines, bicycles and other yard debris.
-
Only stop at houses that are well-lit.
-
Make sure costumes are fitted well, hemmed to the correct height to prevent trips and falls.
-
Carry flashlights to help lightup your way. Children should have something bright incorporated in their costume, weara glowstick, or something bright.
-
Masks, make-up, and hats are fun, but make sure your child can see clearly.
-
Be very cautious around jack-o-lanterns with candles burning.
-
Establish a return time.
-
Discuss the trick-or-treating route incase anyone gets lost.
-
Pin a note to your child's costume with his/her name, phone number and address.
-
Children under 12 years of age should be accompanied by an adult. And no one should trick-or-treat alone.
